Growing up on St. Clair, in Cleveland, Ohio, the challenges facing our neighboring communities were undeniable. Everyday, individuals faced violence, hardship, and despair. Witnessing the cycle of pain—from street conflicts to incarceration—implanted a profound desire for change. It was during my middle school years, at Martin Luther King Jr. school, that I encountered the transformative power of The B.R.I.C.K Program. This experience was the crucible where the vision for The Rubin Project truly began to form.
